In the arcade game Mega Miner you control a mining device and it is your goal to collect as much treasures and resources as possible. Use the cash you earn to buy upgrades for your mega miner.
Controls/Instructions:
WASD or ARROW KEYS to control the miner. SPACEBAR to interact.
Not the best of the genre, A solid well made game but it feels pathless. I just sort of wandered around after getting all the upgrades with nothing really to do
I agree with the zman... motherload does it better... too much to do to get the money and no helpful overlord adding bonuses to lift the miners abilities
I like this game much. I think it's something different and a special, even strategic challenge. For does strategy necessary mean to figure out how to kill as many enemies you can with having as few of your own killed as possible? Couldn't it also mean to use your resources thoughtfully and to plan your routes as economically as possible? I hand out 4 stars out of 5. But, Figsak, I like your alternate title suggestion (might be a bit too long, though)
This game feels like going to work. The money doesn't come fast enough, the upgrades come even slower, and you REALLY have to put some hard hours in down in the mine to make the money you need to be fully upgraded.
I found the game concept to be unique and fun, but this might as well be called "Dig Dug goes bankrupt and has to find a real job".
