There is a warning about death's treasure (although it has a typo and reads "Don't let deaths treasure eharm you." I highly recommend killing it at range with say, catapults (the mage that is... it's got high levels and lots of weapon levels).
Just completed this for the errrmmm fifth time I think deaths treasures is always defeated by a few trolls when I go after it. I have a few catapults as well but the trolls are a good bet for high damage with no retaliation and only 1 attack back.
build your forward guys up and protect your ranged attackers.
make sure your catapults are able to get to where they can do most damage.., that means make sure they have the ability to move with the movement buff. helps get them to those awkward places with no roads and lots of forest

There are interface improvements here above 1, and in 2 above this game. It is noticable, and FK3 will show off some more new stuff, I am betting... but the real purpose of this was to post on the deaths treasure comment and say 'Don't hug Tim.' Go go monty python references!
Excellent game, first I've played of the series and really gets the strategy juices flowing. Gets harder as you would expect as the game goes on, maybe a bit too difficult late on and annoying music! Overall though 4/5.
Thumbs up for comment #8. And that no one ever again touches the thumb-buttons of comment #7!!! This -1 shalt stay there forever as an eternal admonishment!!!
As per my comment below, I left an intelligent game comment with ACTUAL problems the series has, and someone gives my comment a thumbs down?
We can't all love everything you love. When a game has actual issues, it's up to us, the members, to point them out, so that future versions of this game are even better. A hundred comments about how awesome the game is, aren't as helpful as ONE single comment that is critical of the minutia, and points out things that could be improved on.
Whomever it was that gave my comment the thumbs down, if you take a look, I rated the game a 4, which is still excellent. So take that thumb, and insert it in your ass.
They're all the same! The only thing that has changed since the first one is a slight change in the outcome of battles, and the script. Other than that, it's just basically been level packs released on the first game.
It's a great game, but it's just rehashed.
Also, the Death's Treasure makes me quit every time. I spend all game and shitloads of gold fostering my units, only to have them one-shotted en-mass by it. WTF is the deal with that?
