Create an unstoppable army and battle against all evil who apposes you! Battle Cry has you leading a powerful army of knights, archers, wizards and tons of other warriors! The way you arrange your troops is key to winning!
I will add that gold is the way you progress after chapter 1... but the implementation of offline mode is sad. Because you have a points limit that you cannot increase, buying and getting nice high end gear only makes your power more concentrated. In effect, you don't really gain anything other than flexibility to recreate units. Moving units is a pain in the rear. There is nothing to move a whole group, you either move them 1 at a time of pick them all up 1 at a time and then place them again. 2/5, it really is a poor game that needs adjustment for the offline aspects. The points system being a major part of that (great for online, horrible for offline play when you can't get more!)
ok game is strategy with units to place when you get them as end of level prizes. gold is given after each level you do again and again. spam levels for gold and in part 2 you get to use that gold to buy packs of stuff that give new units for you to play with :D.
there are sadly a few downs to this game. it insists you log in if you want to play online and insists you are playing offline if you play here. no real upgrades for your men unless it is in the packs you can buy in later sections?
not a bad little strategy game but limiting in extremis by the way it is set up. campaign is the only bit that works here so loses points in both cases.
2/5 (which would have been 4/5 had the issues stated not been there)
stupid and boring game, idea is to add units given to battle lines and then goto fight and more units are given after battles, no apparent upgrades to old units or its made obscure and same thing with creating new units, each battle requires different strategy and few battles are won by sheer luck, normal middle age units added with mages, nice graphics and ok sounds and music.
overall ok game but unit creation and/or upgrading is bad and once battle starts player can't do anything, gold might have some use (besides getting to more difficult fights) but its not told.
