I clearly wasn't. Controls were crappy comments obstructed the view and switching between weapons was clumsy. If this was not enough, having to do it over and over again to kill a single enemy finished my desire to continue beyond wave 3. Entered in all the cheats and still didn't feel any better...
overall somewhat nice game but difficulty and stupid help box drop points and as usually prices are high vs money gotten.
This game is an odd mix. I'm not so sure I like it, the design is a weird setup where enemies only climb up the walls and swing at you from the top of the wall. It feels odd. The game is very much a shooter style game, and the swordplay mechanic just doesn't feel right.
The pop up instructions are horrid. They don't go away if you don't do what they say to do, and that can leave your vision obstructed. The directions are not really the best choice at all times either.
It might get better later on, but I really am not that interested.
3/5, but a low 3/5. It works, but it doesn't grab my interest. I almost want to give it a 2/5, but I fear combat from mount and blade and similar games may be altering my perceptions!
Even beyond the whole issue with bought items reset, the game lacks difficulty.
The pistol is powerful enough to ignore other guns for a while.
You buy the minigun. You upgrade the clips so the ammo drops are better (upgrades max ammo and how much you get from picking ammo up.) You buy turrets to win.
The lack of information is a problem, including that you don't know that your max ammo goes up when upgrading the clip size unless you try it. You also lose ammo from the current clip and reload a full one when you upgrade, throwing bullets away.
1/5. Too many problems with the upgrades, and too little reason to care (upgraded pistol is spam use win for most of the 20s at least... way too easy.)
in addition to this is new info that may help or hinder
the upgrade system deletes all your upgrades if you buy a new gun. it also loses the upgrades if you go out and then try to continue from where you last were. is this a bug or a sloppy piece of programming? you decide!
overall basic defend game and alot crap things.
2/5
