the game is playable but the lack of a coherent information system lets it down, as does the lack of a save in the game. I have no problem with premium and the need to make some money from the game if possible but the having to log into another site is a point loser for me.
the information system is supposed to relay the fact that there is a cool down on a spell and how long it is going to last. there should also be information about the upgrade for the helper. the game states helpers which suggests more than one of them. the fact there is only 1 is bad informing.
all in all a nice game but my score relates with the missing info and the fact we are expected to login to another site to save the game.
2/5
I like a fair number of the concepts, although there are a few things that could be done better. For instance, I did not see anywhere the mention of 5 enemies crossing being the losing point. Also, a little better balance in unlocks and better drops as you progress would be nice. It would also be good to note that the helper system is upgrading 1 person, and not that you get each helper... because it feels like I bought an archer that just picked up and left!
Spells are required to pass levels after a certain point, and balancing kills against the spell blocking shamans is important. Cooldown timers only showing when you press the hotkey isn't a great design IMO, but oh well.
A few flaws, but exceptional enough for the genre to earn a 4/5 from me. I dislike the premium item system they are using, but I understand the desire for funding! At the least the game is functional and not merely a demo, so NO points lost on that.
All that said, not my thing... and I have no desire to play until the end. Good game for those who like this genre though!
overall very nice game where player needs more things than just money to buy upgrades and getting those require alot playing, only 4 things to upgrade and each only 4 times and 4ths are premium, spells are 1 of upgrades but not sure if those cooldowns are shown, levels difficulty vary quite much since on 1 level many monsters can pass when on next level w/o any upgrades player can kill all monsters.
