But for the ability to build while paused, this game would be impossible. Once I learned that, it has actually become a pretty fun little time filler.

Edit: After playing this for a while, I got to a point where the method for increasing difficulty is to cheat/place the handicap to astronomical levels. I got to the point of being fully upgraded (without the premium things) and tried several combinations of things on several different levels, all to no avail. If you've played to the 80s of difficulty, stop. You've reached the zenith of the game, and from there on the point is just to frustrate you until you quit.

I became jaded with this VERY early. I like the unlocking of things, but I found that the difficulty of the game didn't really depend on what you had unlocked. Unlocking better things just mean unlocking more expensive things. The enemy doesn't give you time to set up, they just rush you, and you're forced to use cheap fast things.

Nice concept, just too fast paced and spammy for my strategic liking.

This isn't the best of the rts games out there and I have met a few in my time. There are a few niggles in the game. First off you are the least ready of the lot and have to build up and keep building to survive. you need to defend your main base or it dies and so do you. there are a few nice upgrades available but they are quite difficult to get hold of and whilst there are new units available as rewards for beating the enemies.., you are penalised at the start by not having anything to defend yourself with.

There are some nice upgrades available if you take the right paths to start with. I believe the strategy is more in what to choose as upgrades and what levels to do first than how the game is played.

playing the levels is more like a spam-fest with a need for fighters and defenses to start with and then energy producers to be able to produce more ships to defend and attack.

be aware that there is a defence level or two and they need good amounts of energy producers and a lot of ship hangers making ships to fend off the enemies that appear from off screen in almost every part of the boundary a good number of turrets will also be good but try to get the shield repair upgrade first or you may just lose within the first few minutes of the start :-* ;-)

not sure what to think, either this is good rts or crap rts, apparently enemy gets everything built up (fighters are firing player's base right after battle starts) and player needs to build everything (big generator is must otherwise battle is lost) is needed, alot to play (different thing if wants to finish due player being handicapped), alot upgrades (somewhat pricy but since it takes long to finish game its ok), alot units (but there's limit how many of those player can use and I didn't see any way to increase that), difficulty is high no matter what difficulty its supposed to be until player gets defense up and few ship bays bought after that its easish as long as keeps building defense and ship bays (and maybe generators), very nice graphics (although player can't spend much time to looking it) and music. Few times game didn't register clicks but not sure if its due game or me not pressing hard enuf.

overall very nice game but its either good game or bad game depending if player likes to being receiving end 1st couple mins per level and need to decide if 1 ship is better than other due restriction of ship choosing (same applies to other units).
