Genre: Tower Defense
Galactic Defender is a RTS/Tower defence game with turrets that can be moved and a scrolling map. Six different starships, two special weapon to unlock, three different maps, two difficulty levels and 36 waves in this frenetic space game!

nice graphics and sounds but lookslike only 2 "towers" are usable, rest are crap, dunno if upgrading towers help since didn't bother with that.
I did encounter a SAVE problem, however. I had no problems with the first SAVE, but when I tried to SAVE a subsequent time, the game PAUSED instead of SAVED. My original SAVE was available for reload after I 'died', however.

It seems like the game is balanced around moving your units in the area they were placed... which reduces the usefullness of the speed up button and generally makes you be active during waves.
The waves come as soon as the previous one is done, which gives you no chance at either planning or at overlapping waves.
The game lost track of the enemies on wave 7 (they stopped moving and no longer spawned... but the level didn't end).
Overall impression is that I felt like I was playing a decent TD game early on, but quickly found moving ships that much to be painful and frustrating. A lack of group controls and AI setting for your ships compounds this.
2/5 from me.
