Quoting BDJ:
Just completed this game for the second time in succession, and I must say that I really like Nob War: The Elves! It took me a few scenarios to 'catch onto' what is going on, but once I did, I found the experience quite enjoyable!

In this game, you control a small group of Elvin archers. It is your task to take these archers and capture the castle on the right of the screen. To assist you, you also have a small band of Elite Elvin Flag Guards and can call on the support of one Human Infantry unit and one unit of Centaurs. You have no control over these three units during battle. What you do control is the movement, positioning, aiming and firing of the Elvin Bowman. They become dangerous 'support troops' for the infantry.

During each scenario (20 in total) you gain $$. When the scenario is over (either you complete it or die) you can spend this $$ on various upgrades for both your unit of archers and the other units. You can update Health (HPs), Attack Damage, Number of troops in a unit (max 12 for elite Flag Guards, max 25 for all others), and Elvin Archer 'specials'. These specials include Arrow damage (normall shot), Fire Arrow (used primarily against enemy shielded Infantry), and Rapid Shot which can fire up to six consecutive arrow volleys (used primarily against enemy Centaurs and Archers).

All in all, I found this game soooo entertaining and give it the following score;

Rate: 4.5/5
