simple, almost childish, game. Lots of upgrades and lots of upgrading as you traverse the levels. you can back track to gain more experience and better spells, as well as upgrading before you hit the harder levels and harder monsters.

The narrator sounds just like Christian Sleator.

I would say very nice game, although I would say maybe little too easy. But if think about this "Prelude" that actually means there will be sequels than this game deserves 5/5. And can someone find me the link of that awesome music in the menu after the level?! :D

very nice adventure game, sadly only way to boost stats is to make better weapon (health and mana go up when level's up), very nice weapons (although sometimes improvement from 1 weap to other is marginally) and enemies, char's speeches start getting annoying after 1st few levels otherwise sounds incl. music are good and graphics same, good amount of special attacks (which are needed since enemies have sometimes multiple times char's health (1 ~midway boss had 5 times char's health)) and spells (mostly heal needed unless is heavy user of special attacks), due every battle is same (few specials and finish with standard if some enemy is still standing) game gets tedious quickly although change of background helps a bit.

overall good game but more rpg-elements would been nice, difficulty isn't high, simple to play (although tips can get on nerves since those tend to appear in middle of the battle). fun for while (maybe to the end if plays in sessions).
