It's well done, but won't have me coming back for more.
3/5
Basically a collection of skill mini games, but put together in a cool and clever context. Due to the various designs and components the player can also be a bit creative, so it doesn't feel to repetitive.
The combat action was designed with much thought, too: Instead of just letting the player watch, he must collect his loot himself and can fire the cannons, thus getting his good share of the action.
So much thoughtfulness into a game's design I reward with very solid 4/5 stars.
Really, it's a cooking game, just as Papa's Burgeria, Pizzeria etc.
But Papa's does 'em best (I did like the most advanced version of the restaurant concept, the Wingeria). And, turning a kitchen game into a war game is a rather ingenious idea
no points just yet as I will play further first
like harrier0 said making weaps can be slow (you haven't seen slow if you can't make maces yet (2 swords/axes could be made in that time what it makes to make 1 mace) or those spiky staffs (same thing as in mace's case)) but that's why player can multitask and make 4 weaps at sametime (swords, axes and bows 1st then maces and those staffs).
The weapon makng seems the major part of the game but to me this part is very slow and rather boring. Its obviously not a game for me although I'll still give it 3/5 for effort.
overall very good game except quite a long and no idea what getting to higher level means, can't apparently replay those stages where didn't kill all enemies.
I did NOT already play through the game this time. So I hope it is really as good as the first impression it made on me. The idea, in any case, seemed pretty unique to me.
So, enough talking: Let's give this thing a try...
