A challenging tactical game! Create armies and research for new skills and heroes. Join the fabled Leon Wars and choose whether to play a human or the monster Draylocks.
not bad strategy place but usually who has most bases and strongest army wins, research to get new units takes long time and until its finished player needs to survive with basic units.
played this before somewhere and managed to get through the complete game with no losses... still not sure how I did it.
I have to agree with figsak though.., it feels like it was started but not fully completed. I like the movement aspect as it makes you think about where to put armies.
Somehow it reminded me of Disciples series - great games....
I like graphics here, the variety in objectives, generally mechanics(!!!), and the difficulty lvl - not that easy, but also not ridiculously hard. Another good thing is that this game is pretty bugless(at least I have not encountered any) :) But...there are some things which could have been better. Maps in general look bleak - just some coloring or whatever, and it would be ok. Another things is units - too few to choose from :(
But all in all it is a good game. Could use a sequel - idea is great, and if picked up, and expanded it could make pretty awesome game.
The Leon Wars is a strategy game where you select to represent either the Human or Draylocks. After selecting your 'team', you generate up to two armies. Each army requires a leader (either Warrior or Mage - your choice), and can have three additional troops. At the beginning, the humans have a single troop-type - the basic Foot Soldier; the Draylocks have a basic Demon. As you battle your way through all nine levels (scenarios), you'll be able to research and then add new troops to your army, and upgrade your Army Hero (allows you to add up to five troops to each army).
Gold and Iron are the currency of this game, and you need both for research, upgrades, and troop purchases. These resources are obtained as you conquer mines and villages. After you conquer a mine or villiage, you'll have the option of leaving a defensive force of 4, 5, or 6 troops (depending upon your Hero level) to 'guard' your new territory. Unguarded, your enemy will quickly capture/recapture your hard earned resources.
Each level has its own set of victory requirements. However, if you are bold and have a strong army, you can end each level immediately by simply conquering your opponent's main castle. This allows you to by-pass all scenario-specific requirements and gain immediate victory.
Personally, I thought that this game was really neat, fun, challenging, and entertaining. The troop graphics are very good, but the level maps leave something to be desired.
It just seems half finished. The mechanics of the game and the basic idea is a 5 star+++ game. It's just too basic and needs more legs. Needs more units to choose from, needs at least one more hero class, needs a graphics change for hero level ups, has bugs that make you restart the game, the warrior class upgrades have a quirky bug when you level them up (it asks you to choose cavalry or infantry as if it were a fighter unit), the battle maps could use some freakin pizazz (They look very generic and don't have much variance between levels.
Despite all these things that make this game feel so GD BETA, it is a super awesome idea that needs to be expanded on.
Someone PLEASE make a sequel!!

4/5 still needs work before it could gain a 5
