basically what fergus said, nice shooter except squad formation is far from most effective and it takes a while until soldiers accuracy gets better, upgrades (plenty of those) require crystals which are bit uncommon, decent graphs and rest.
overall nice game but few things aren't exactly made well.
this game reminds me of similar game already in aog but can't remember it.
I found most crystals in level 1 so as I found it could be spam played and crystals came with every play I increased my abilities and gear value a lot faster just replaying level 1 a few times ;)
as for the other game in here there are a few others similarbut not with the snake format this uses. width is the usual format and that doesn't work in this game.
also if you get a man killed in the middle of the squad those that were following that soldier will not move or join the rest of the squad again, I found that out in the last level with the movement issues.

simple move and kill using mouse al the way but use space or shift to hold your troops in one spot to fire at enemy units or, changing weapon to bazooka, blowing holes in walls and enemy structures where possible
not too bad on first play but the further we go the stranger it becomes until you are on the last level, where it really starts to slow down. this is resource syphoning at its worst as the who screen fills with enemies and you have to get your squad out of a mess into an area you may be able to control the battle better but with the speed so reduced it takes precious time to extricate yourself and most if not all of your men safely.
if you want to do it the hard way you can always leave the extra men in the traps until you have beaten most of the enemies and go for them after. on the last level you need all the help you can get but a snake formation is not the way in my opinion. go with as few men as you can manage and take the largest of the enemies out but remember to get the rest before the end.

But it just doesn't do it for me. It just doesn't have that killer addictive quality that makes me want to keep on playing.
I'm sure lots of people will like it more than me.
