Your objective in Keeper of the Grove 2 is to defend the magic grove from the creepy creature who are ought to to steal them. Place your heroes along the path and let them do some damage to the invaders!
A surprisingly good tower defense game. The first few levels are a bit boring, but I recommend to persist past these. Then, the really interesting upgrades become available and the game becomes quite challenging. I felt generous and handed out 4/5 stars (optically, the "towers" are indeed quite creative, depicting some kind of nature spirits, japanese kami or the like)
Second version of this Tower Defense game. The first one is also on AoG (http://www.ageofgames.net/en/free-strategy-games/2225-keeper-of-the-grove.html).
The basic format of the game remains the same as the first version, but the graphics have certainly been improved. As the others have mentioned, the game has all the usual features for something in this genre.
basic tower defence with the usual level requirements for some upgrades. lots of enemies and the defenders can be upgraded in levels as well as out of levels. you will need to upgrade each of your characters over and over again, and research the same upgrades in every level after they are first put into a level. doesn't look too difficult seeing as you gain lots of gold for every kill. you can even upgrade the worth of the coins got from monsters as well.
1st game was quite good and this is even better, basically game is normal tower defense but towers are quite unique, 3 types of towers (normal slow, area and long distance) which can be upgraded and transformed (via research and otherwise when has money aka usually after has built all slots full of towers) to demolition machines, enemies vary from weaklings to high health monsters (no problems much if places towers wisely) and some have some resistants, few apparently one time usage spells (helpful or not is upto player's decision), between levels player can buy upgrades, good graphics and rest.
overall good game where only bad things are smallish maps and limited slots for towers but tower updgrades negate those, normal achievements to get for those who like those.
