once you figure it out its easy as hell... hint: wave never ends untill you kill the last one

not a bad game but gets kinda boring fast

Enjoyable, though slightly difficult Would take a bit of practice to get the hang of it, and not really worth the effort.

It held my attention long enough to get a

3/5 stars

Personally, I hated the first game--I thought it was garbage. So the fact that I actually played this one all the way through to the end should actually say a lot about how I think it has actually improved in terms of playability.

I think where most people are losing interest is largely due to getting dumped straight into the thick of it without knowing what to do, so the first thing you need to address would obviously be a half-decent tutorial and (most importantly) mouse-over descriptions of all the buttons/controls.

That said, my biggest problem with this game was not that it was too difficult, like it's predecessor, but that it was way too easy.

It didn't take me long to figure out that you unlock new equipment and recruits by using the various crates scattered around the map, and that the only way to level is to use the "crate" marked "train" and wait for the gap between waves.

Then it was a simple matter of having him pick off the zombies while the rest of the recruits trained. But once I had max'ed everyone's levels and equipped them all accordingly, I had absolutely nothing left to do except position them behind the wall. And the game wasn't even a third of the way through!

From that point on, my involvement was restricted to basic move-commands. I mean, never mind a challenge, just having something to do would have been nice.

That, and then there's the fact that there is no story to speak of, no plot, no character-arcs, no real strategy and no roleplaying at all, brings my score right down.

It's a cute little time-waster, for a while, but not much more than that.

How do I get new recruits?

First of all don't listen to those newbies!
The game was really good, at first yes, it was hard, but when i understood how to lvl up and actually raise stats (was expacting a glowing or more noticeable 'stats for upgrade' icon) the game went easy..
the game was challenging, i made up a tactic and started over and finished the game. its all about the tactic!!
I would like to see an upgrade-able ammo and clips stat in your next game :)

btw, you got a bug- when you restart the game after the (clear saved game) the items, researches, chars and everything stays the same only the zombies restart.. had to delet cookies and restart browser to actually restart.

4/5 challenging; made me play twice; few things I would've add, and a bug to fix :D

Has the potential to be an amazing game. You guys just need to find that spot that makes the game hard enough to be challenging and keep the player involved but not so hard that the player loses 99\100 rages and leaves the page. Do some updates and re-releases don't give up you can do it! as of now though i rate 2\5

As mentioned below a disappointing re-visit to this game that hasn't addressed the problems of the first game. I still find it difficult and frustrating to play and so never progress very far. Overall only 2/5

ok shoot and defend game but starting guns are like peashooters (and if better guns are gotten somewhere I dunno where), walls are nice but those are destructible so repairing needed quite much, slow movement added with crappy unit selecting makes game difficult, enemies withstand damage nicely (aka badly for player), graphics and sounds are pretty much same as 1st game.

overall ok game but it has same flaws as in 1st game and few new.

lots of bad stuff in this again like movement is slow and tiresome and the enemies are very hard to kill. ammo levels on both initial soldiers is so low it is almost like putting them into an arena with a spoon against a pack of lions.

I have to agree with darkstar.., a disappointing second attempt.

This game suffers from many of the same problems as the first. A disappointing second attempt
