Cartoony style tower defense game that is well balanced. Features over 3 towers that can be upgraded. Slash down your enemies or kill them with a fiery spell.
The thief is more of a scavenger, making an income from things killed in his range. A level 3 thief makes an extra 4 gold for a kill, that is a 40% increase! Still break even is 75 kills...
The time mage is of some use slowing down monsters.
Upgrade cost is visible when you mouse over a skill in the book but i sometimes had to look twice so i wouldn't mistake the cost for the new range after upgrade.
I too find it boring and lost interest after to fights of 20 waves. Tower defense not being my favorite anyway i'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt and give 3 stars. Still there are much better ones out there (i like gemcraft, why is gemcraft labyrinth not on here?!?)
No speed up, missing information on how much an upgrade costs, and a rather poor balance and function of some of the towers. The game relies on the main character casting to be successful, but the click interface is poorly done, and icons from attacks such as the time mage or melee defenses like swordsman block the ability to click on the mobs. Furthermore, the thief doesn't steal a noteworthy amount of gold ever, making maybe 1 gold every round, if you are lucky (without upgrades, skill probably raises it but that should be in a guide somewhere... not me guessing). It might be a decent game, if the casting interface was improved, a speed up option was added, and a guide was added (or more information in the menu). As it stands, it's a sad 2/5 that should be been better with minimal effort.
very slow to play.., very resource hungry, on my mac at least.., no increase in cash from monsters killed and the only tower worth having is the archer. the rest of the towers are crap with the orbs in later levels being the only other useful items. There is also a main character that can be used to fire magic at the enemies as they progress.
They tried to hide the flaws in this game with cuteness. they failed I think.
