Genre: RPG, Adventure

This was a challenge. I built this puppy in FOUR days! I did it partially to promote my kickstarter, and partially as a personal game jam kind deal. SOME of the art is from Wolfsong, some I made just for this game.

Try to survive until the end of the journey!

nice rpg except no healing between battles so if char/chars get knocked out on 1 match they will do it on next too (unless party has healer), leveling up costs gold so game becomes grindy (lose whole party, start over with extra gold, try again), between battles player can level up chars (if gold) and search things (findings look random) and rest (sadly only energy is restored) and sometimes rest attempt goes badly so rations are consumed w/o benefits, chars amount of energy seems to be quite limited (pretty bad thing if hasn't been able to rest last night), timelimit to do action is bad (although long enuf to do action) and text really needs skip button (since its mostly meaningless chitchat), nice graphs etc.

overall nice game but too many bad things and grindiness drop points, game has potential but that's it.

DMs choice and fergus have said most of the thinsg you need to know about this game.

It's got highly detailed graphics and everything works okay, but ...
- time limit on actions is terrible
- very little skill required
- dialogue scenes are boring
- becomes very repetitive very quickly

For me there are too many negatives to score higher.

lots to think over but most of it is said by DMs choice already. there is no rpg in this really as it needs you to be able to move your characters yourself and having towns whizz by with no chance to recouperate and buy food (if food requirements are a need) or new equipment is all part of the rpg experience. selecting your characters is usually part of the fun as well. I was almost expecting thus to be one of those crap idle games as it started.

it has potential but as it stands it is low marks, due to the irritability which overcomes the fun quite quickly.

Nice concept, adorable and elaborate artwork, buuuut...
1) Time limit for characters' actions: No! Just no!
2) Dialogue screens need a skip button. As cute as they may be, they are sometimes too long. And if you play that game another time, this will become a major annoyance.
3) Please - a Menu button, with which you can pause and end the game without just leaving the page.
4) Info screens for the characters, on which you can leisurely see their stats, read about their abilities, maybe even customize them a little.
5) A significant hint at the beginning that you are about to assemble a group from the start. Would make the character type choice much more relaxed. I'd even recommend a starting screen displaying ALL the characters in a default setting, from which you can select them one by one and adjust their character classes (and maybe even make some first customizations).
7) Quest time limit. I'm not sure so far how tight it really is, but time limits in RPGs almost always suck. Is that really necessary?

Yes, this game has a lot of issues, but I wouldn't comment so elaborately about it, if I didn't see a lot of potential in it.
I'd definitely try an "upgraded" version of it.
But so far, not more than 3/5 stars.
