cannot sacrifice the first armour you have but you can drop it if you want to. potions do not sacrifice either.
by choice I upgraded both weapon attack strength and dexterity. thus getting hit points and faster hits to build the bonus hits at a good rate. both are needed in my opinion for the end boss and you must use all the health upgrades you can find. if you start losing health just run away and let your guy regenerate. better if you have the next level ankh as that gives more points . top ankh gives 4 points and vill revive you but you then lose the ankh.
very hard to move and attack to start with but after a few levels you start to gain health and attack speed ands ability thus managing to cause lots of damage quite fast.
there are better out there.
2/5
It has several issues.
The tutorial avoids telling you about sacrificing equipment in a meaningful manner. This hurts first time players, as they level slower.
The game does not explain combat well. It is up to the player to notice the stacking damage effect (multiple hits in a short time cause each hit to do more damage.) This combat system is also very unbalanced, as a high dex stat vastly outweighs a high attack stat. (4x damage max vs. over 20 times the attack speed - your weak attacks will hit harder within the space of a second than the big attack power boosted attack did, and the next big attack will be tiny compared to the stack effect hits you would be getting.)
This is also more of a shooter/bullet hell than an rpg... it just has rpg leveling and stat elements. The story is lacking, and story is what makes an rpg.
2/5, it is functional but not balanced or particularly well done imo.
overall not bad game but nothing extraordinary and far from rpg, spells are gotten/learned somehow but any usage is different thing.
p.s. I could swear that this game has already been added to aog.
