Inspired by classic 16-Bit SNES/Arcade retro style gameplay, "Savage Huskies" is a simple action brawler about having good old fashioned fun while beating the living shit out of anything that moves.
I think the artwork and animation is SERIOUSLY epic. This game must have taken quite a while to make. If only it had been an RPG instead... sigh. Then maybe I wouldn't suck at it.
I typically hate all things that even SMELL like an action game, but this strangely reminds me of old arcade games I was addicted to as a kid. I spent every weekend in a smokey bowling alley arcade, beating Double Dragon and Bad Dudes over and over... and over.... And over and over and over.
not bad beat'em up, few bad things: health is really limited and 1st few areas I saw only 1 replenisher and fights against multiple enemies is occasionally tough and some needs to be stunned before can attack with punches. regeneration or more healthpacks and attacks doing more damage and this would be good timekiller.
Sidescroll beat'em-up as seen before. At least I have seen nothing new and exciting enough to make me go on playing, since this type of games is not really mine. Controls are awkward, but can be customized, so there's no real problem in it. I see nothing bad in this game, just nothing really special (with the exception that you are to beat up religious fanatics.) Fans of the genre might find it a bit too slow. 3 stars? Yes, I think 3 stars out of 5 are in order.

I still hate this, but the kid in me has a woody.
3/5 stars, for nostalgia's sake.
