Arcuz 2 1 Year, 8 Months ago

I've lost my saved game once (at level 20), and noticed that players on armorgames have experienced the same thing.
Since Arcuz is a real time consumer, I'm in doubt whether I shall give it a re-try or wait for an updated version.
So, I'm curious of what levels you AoG-players have reached, and if the game has worked well for you ...

Well, I'm back at level 20.
Hopefully, these 7 hrs and 45 mins won't be wasted
(For your playtime, see 'achievements' on the main menu.)

I play at armorgames but I'm around lvl 14, I'm not using any global save since I don't have that high trust for those so I use local save (each time after I stop playing I copy folder where savegame is to desktop.

Good idea. Though …
… I played this game a lot yesterday, and actually, it was real bore. I challenged the first boss twice, failing, so let’s level up for more skill pts. Meaning, going through the same dungeons over and over again. And the leveling up is real slow at this stage … (Found myself longing for another King’s Island game instead!) … So, I might throw in the towel on this one.
Tip: have read on other forums that some guys have had easy victories against bosses, using charge slash to break armor and then blade storm for the kill.

My char is now at lvl 20 (almost got to lvl 21 but game started bugging so needed to reload), nearly won 1st boss but everytime when it had fraction of health left it killed my char with 2 hits so didn't have time to use health potion.
I played orig. Arcuz through via hacked game cause I didn't want to spend hours and hours grinding low l.evel monsters to be able to beat higher level monsters.

Lol, earlier today I found a hacked version of Arcuz 2 and will probably re-start my adventure there.
Before the first boss fight, I spent a lot of time composing rejuvenation potions for square 1, so that I had room for berserk and defence potions for square 2 and 3, respectively. Still lost, and I saw myself spending another hour just for composing new rejuvenation potions ... nah ...
I'm not sure it's a good thing by the developers to have made the in-between bosses so strong. The pro- and addicted players might like it, but I guess a lot of Arcuz 1-fans will turn away from this sequel.
PS. I understand the top level is 120, needed to beat the last boss. It took me 12 hours to reach level 23. Quoting Andy Warhol: "Life was going on while I watched TV" (in this case, while I was playing computer games) ...

1st boss is beatable, char just needs to have high health and deal alot damage (against 1st boss my char deals 100-300 damage and against normal monsters 1k-3.5k).
Bosses should be tough but beatable and gaining more levels doesn't help much since boss gets levels too and getting those levels takes alot time.
I might too restart Arcuz 2 on hacked version if game starts to feel too much like beating head to wall.

I tried the hacked version, you get to the 1st boss very quickly, and easily defeat him.
But no, I didn't feel any satisfaction being victorious in a hacked game, so I guess I'll go back to basics.

"Level 2 composing = success rate 90%" it says.
In my case, it fails 3 times out of 4. I wonder in what college the devs studied math

I've not gotten around to playing this game yet, but common sense and gaming experience tells me that 90% success rate is the base stat minus variables, such as enemy resistances and other things that may effect it.
Just a guess.

Try it, Figsak, or prefarably Arcuz 1 if you haven't. They're both great games, similar to the King's Island series, but a lot more time consuming (now there's an advantage for KI). In Arcuz, you'll have to do a lot of (boring) grinding to level up.
For most players, it takes several weeks to finish it. Though, I've noticed one or another clever guy who've been able to finish this game in 3-4 days (don't ask me how they do it. Smartness, and picking the right skills, I guess.)
But, the most worrying thing about Arcuz 2 is that players have lost their saved games. It happened to me once at armorgames (the page the devs have chosen as their official launch for this game) and once here at ageofgames.
Now I try it a 3rd time, but if I lose my saved game this time I'll definitely come to a halt. Until there is an updated and more reliable version.

On Arcuz 1 players were able to play on Funnaut's site and have their save games hosted on some site (can't remember what and if I remember right it was only way to save on that version) but no more that option.
How to not to lose savegames: Save your game via menu or going to that circle on town but don't close browser and then open explorer (not IE) and goto on Windows XP c:\documents and settings\username\application data\macromedia\flash player\#sharedobjects and on Windows Vista/7 C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects and copy that folder which is there to safe somewhere (I copy it to desktop) and now you have backup of your savegames, next time you play Arcuz 2 (or any other flashgame which stores saves to there) open browser and copy folder where your savegames are to under #sharedobjects (delete other folder in there) and goto gamesite and load Arcuz 2 or any other flashgame and play.

I'm sure I'll get around to trying it eventually. I played the first one a long while back. I'm just not crazy about RPG's. I prefer war/strategy games like Warlight and the Battalion series.

Thx.
(I haven't been able to find this folder myself. My computer is new and I'm not that familiar with Windows 7 yet, and the language ain't English. But a friend of mine - a computer genius - will look into it )

by default that folder is hidden on XP etc so 1st you need to enable view hidden files and folders, your friend should be able to help you.
